The Montana Historic Preservation Office and the Montana Governor's Office awarded the Monarch Neihart Historical Group a 2021 Montana Historic Preservation Award.
“The dedicated efforts of the Monarch Neihart Historical Group allow the Monarch Depot to once again welcome people to the town of Monarch. While some viewed the Depot as a hopeless cause, the vision of the Monarch Neihart Historical Group to recapture the past grandeur never wavered. The Group’s desire to save a vital part of the local history spurred them forward” 2021 Montana Historic Preservation Award Ceremony
